best observation so far…
Students finish reading article about how statistics can be misleading. The article states thats 100% of people who eat bread die! (eventually of course).
The teacher is trying to draw out a student to say that they didn’t die from eating bread and the statistic is worthless.
T: So what can we say about this?
S1: Bread makes you die
T: But is bread the reason you die?
S2: No, but bread is a gateway!
S1: Yes! Bread is a gateway to crack! Then you die!
T: No, bread is not a gateway drug to crack….
